Do you love to sing? Have you considered joining the SJCC? We rehearse on Monday nights and are welcoming new singers for our 2026-27 season.

#wesingbecausewemust is a phrase often used by members of the SJCC. All singers in the area are encouraged to explore singing with us! All are welcome!

Rehearsals are held on Monday nights in Potter Hall on the campus of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

The chorus generally performs concerts in the fall, winter, and spring. The auditioned Chamber Choir is available to provide entertainment for community events.

2026-27 Season Rehearsals

SJCC welcomes new singers at the beginning of each season as well as after each concert.

The first rehearsal of the 2026-27 Season will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 301 N 7th St. and will include registration and a “welcome back” meal provided by the board. The meal starts at 6 PM followed by rehearsal. All singers, returning and new, are welcome to attend.

This year, singers may join the chorus at the beginning of the season on August 24 to prepare for the first concert, on October 19 to prepare for the Christmas concerts; January 11 to prepare for the February concert; and February 22 to sing the April concert. Here are the details.

When: Mondays

Time: 7:00- 9:00 PM Rehearsal

No audition is required.
