Join the St. Joseph Community Chorus for a “Messiah Sing-A-Long” — A Gift to the Community
St. Joseph, MO — The St. Joseph Community Chorus invites you to celebrate the season with its Messiah Sing-A-Long, held at First Presbyterian Church, 301 N 7th St., St. Joseph, MO, on Saturday, December 13 at 3:00 PM.
This cherished holiday event welcomes singers and listeners alike to experience the joy of Handel’s Messiah, one of the most beloved works in the choral repertoire. Known for its uplifting choruses and timeless beauty, Messiah has become a symbol of shared musical celebration and spiritual reflection for generations.
Under the direction of Dr. Timothy Tharaldson, with Dr. Ruth Krusemark accompanying on organ, participants will join together to sing the Christmas portion of this magnificent oratorio. Soloists will be featured from within the St. Joseph Community Chorus, showcasing the exceptional local talent that defines the ensemble.
Whether you’re an experienced singer or simply love hearing the “Hallelujah Chorus” soar through the sanctuary, this event offers an opportunity to unite in music and community spirit. Singers are encouraged to bring their own score; however, they will be available for those who do not bring their own.
This free event is SJCC’s gift to the community, offered in gratitude for the continued support of the arts in St. Joseph. A freewill donation benefitting the Chorus will be accepted at the door.
